Scope limits: Must have
Buyers supply formulation, throughput basis, utilities, quantity, destination and how FAT samples will be judged. We restated those inputs to manufacturers without converting them into our own performance table. Documents we may ask factories to provide include CE or UL files for the quoted control cabinet, material certificates for screws and barrels, and a FAT protocol tied to the buyer sample. Those papers remain the manufacturer’s; they are not Twin Screw Extruder Sourcing credentials.
Tradeoff
If a buyer wants a single installed-project price covering civil work, cooling-water piping and SAT, that must be written as a project RFQ. A machine-only quote cannot be scored as if it included site work. We will not invent a “typical” installed cost. If a buyer wants only a conical PVC barrel and will source feeders locally, that exclusion must appear on every comparable offer.
