twin screw extruder manufacturers

This page coordinates comparable factory quotations from twin screw extruder manufacturers against one written envelope. Twin Screw Extruder Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner: we collect buyer specifications, ask manufacturers to quote the same included items and exclusions, and return the replies for your comparison. We do not operate an extrusion plant and we do not substitute our own kg/h figures for a factory FAT.

Assumptions that must be aligned before ranking offers include screw architecture, feeder count, vent treatment, screen changer, die or pelletizing head, control software license, packing, shipping, installation, training and commissioning. Dispersion, melt condition and purge waste should be evaluation methods written into the RFQ, not after-the-fact complaints. Tooling, installation, shipping, training and commissioning are included only when the quote says so.

Service stage and responsibilities

Delivery scope

Work through this decision
Delivery scope: Must have

Each manufacturer must restate the architecture (conical PVC versus co-rotating compounding), screw diameter and L/D as quoted options, connected load in kW, supply frequency in Hz, cooling-water demand, compressed air, footprint and PLC interface. The quote must list feeders, vent zones and downstream pelletizing as included, optional or excluded. FAT sample identity, inspection scope and spare-parts kits belong in the same document. Without those lines, two prices cannot be compared.

Tradeoff

A lower machine price that omits feeders, vacuum and pelletizing is not cheaper than a complete compounding skid; it is a different project. Conversely, a conical profile line that includes calibration tables should not be scored against a compounding quote that stops at the die plate. Single-machine versus integrated-line disputes should be settled here: if upstream drying or downstream bagging is required, name who supplies it. Nominal screw speed is not validated output.

Next question

How will dispersion, melt condition and purge waste be evaluated on the same formulation and rate? Who records energy, melt temperature and gel count? If the manufacturer proposes a substitute recipe for FAT, record that the result does not automatically transfer to the buyer’s production mix. SAT remains a separate item unless the contract folds it in.
